THE BIG ONE

Choose from multi award winning 7km or 12km course distances over obstacle-loaded, muddy farmland set in the heart of the Secret Bunker Estate, Essex.

Nuclear is well known for delivering UK’s most award winning events with big, high quality, achievable, natural & man-made obstacles designed to test every ability of fitness on fast-paced courses over epic varied terrain. Expect the infamous Deathslides, Para-plunge zip-lines & new Swing A Ding obstacles at the lake zone plus loads of other obstacles.

RUSH RACE FORMAT
  1. The course distances are 7km & 12k. This event is NOT a lap race.
  2. All racers are chip-timed.
  3. Your wave will be made up of 7 & 12k runners. You will run together until 7k where 12k runners will split. There’ll be warning signs, arrows and a Nuclear marshal at the split to guide you.
  4. There are 70+ obstacles on the 12k, 40+ on the 7k courses.
  5. Attempt as many or as few obstacles as you like – it’s your challenge!
  6. There are no penalties.
  7. A Nuclear Rush survivor medal & finisher top plus hot cup of tea at the finish.
  8. Option to de-select finisher top at checkout, reducing our impact on the environment & reducing your final checkout total.
  9. We will start clearing the 7 & 12k Rush courses from 5pm onwards (last runner 1st).
Challenge Cup Incorporating National Trials:
  • The UK Challenge Cup will be chip timed
  • This event uses the 12K Rush course with additional Challenge Cup route and Obstacles
  • There are 60+ Rush Obstacles Per Lap
  • All obstacles are mandatory on the course
  • There are 8 Challenge Cup penalty obstacles per lap
  • All mandatory obstacles must be completed & can be attempted as many times as required in order to complete & move on. Failure to complete will result in bib removal/results disqualification
  • Penalty obstacles must be completed on first attempt or a penalty issued for non completion
  • Obstacles to be completed as directed by marshals/adjudicators
  • Complaints about “fairness and other competitors” must be made 15 minutes after completion of the race. The Race Director’s decision is final
  • Competitors will be required to wear a Nuclear bib to be collected at registration on race-day. It will be removed if disqualified. The bib identifies UK Challenge Cup, OCRWC attempting qualifiers who haven’t been disqualified
  • Runners will be expected to warm themselves up
  • Nuclear Rush non-competitive waves will start 35 minutes after the UK Challenge Cup Incorporating National Trials Race start
  • Finish line: Rush top & medal for all competitors
  • 2024 OCR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER
  • UK CHALLENGE CUP medal for fastest top 3 men/women
