A CANVEY charity has received a boost after being presented with a cheque.

The Danny Green Fund was handed a cheque for £1,511 by Nuclear Races, which organises obstacle runs in Brentwood.

In July 2012, the Canvey youngster, lost a brave eight-month battle with brain and spinal tumours, otherwise known as posterior fossa syndrome.

In return, the charity has funded a day’s research at Portsmouth University which is being held in Nuclear Race’s name.
