There’s two different obstacle endurance challenges for 2023. Classic Oblivion eXtreme on Sunday 14th May at Rush Weekend and Oblivion MaXX at Blast & Blackout on 23rd September – or go all in MACHINE MODE & take on Rush Oblivion eXtreme AND Blast/Blackout Oblivion MaXX.

OBLIVION eXtreme MAY

PUSHING BOUNDARIES TO #GOBEYOND

Oblivion eXtreme 2023 has the potential to be a 60k+/37+mile/350+ obstacle challenge. It’s the classic Nuclear Oblivion eXtreme.

Designed to challenge the fastest and fittest obstacle race athletes out there; it’s brutal & unforgiving & one of two endurance events in the Nuclear calendar.

There’s 8.5 hours to complete as many 12k laps on the Nuclear Rush course tackling 70+ man-made & natural obstacles per lap. This event requires hardcore training – it’s a physical & mental test of endurance & strength. Entrants are Oblivion eXtreme Legends. This is not a team event. Pit Crew welcome

OBLIVION MAXX SEPTEMBER

Sept Oblivion MaXX is a 13 hour obstacle loaded challenge on Nuclear Blast AND Blackout courses. It’s 5k laps rolled into one with the potential to be a 70k+/44+mile/420+ obstacle challenge.

Complete as many laps during the day & night tackling 30+ obstacles mud & water per lap. This event requires hardcore training as it’s the ultimate test of physical, mental endurance and strength.

  • This is a lap race
  • 1 lap = 70+ obstacles
  • Exclusive start time
  • Chip timing
  • Transition Zone
  • Pit Crew (max 2 people per runner) welcome at Transition Zone
  • Oblivion Extreme 2023 medal for those who complete 2 laps or more & Oblivion X personalised running vest
  • Nuclear Rush 2023 medal for those who complete less than 2 laps & Oblivion X personalised running vest
  • Every entrant will wear a personalised running vest, which will enable priority at all obstacles. This event is about YOUR endurance & your challenge. There has to be genuine, honest attempts at all obstacles. There are no penalties.
  • Every entrant will be asked at registration whether they are entering the event competitively & successfully completing all obstacles on every lap or if they are running-for-fun & wish to be removed from the official chip-timing leaderboard results.
  • The race will finish after 8.5 hours.
  • Racers will be unable to start a 12km lap after 3pm
  • We will start clearing the Oblivion course from 5pm onwards (last runner 1st)
  • Snacks/drinks/food to be left at the refueling Transition Zone with Pit Crew.

  • Nuclear Blast/Blackout 2023 medal for those who complete less than 5 laps & Blast/Blackout muddy mug.
  • There is not a Oblivion MaXX vest included with entry
  • Wear your personalised running vest from May Oblivion X, which will enable priority to all obstacles. This event is about YOUR endurance & your challenge. There must be genuine, honest attempts at all obstacles. There are no penalties for non-competitive runners.
  • There are two ways to take in Oblivion MaXX:
    1. Non-Competitively; your race your pace, run for fun no penalties or band needed.
    2. Competitively, All obstacles must be completed or a burpee penalty must be taken. 20 chest to floor burpees, the chest must touch the ground as you jump up both hands reach up over your head and your feet leave the ground. That counts as one burpee.

    No band = no penalties = no competitive category ranked results.

  • Every entrant will be asked at registration whether they are entering the event competitively & successfully completing all obstacles on every lap or if they are running-for-fun & wish to be removed from the official chip-timing leaderboard results
  • The race will finish after 13 hours
  • Racers will be unable to start a 5km lap after 9pm
  • We will start clearing the Oblivion course from 10pm onwards (last runner 1st)
  • Snacks/drinks/food to be left at the refueling Transition Zone with Pit Crew.
